Scholastic
A clearer commerce experience for an iconic brand.
Integrated e-commerce, SEO, SEM, email, social, testing, and responsive UX work supporting the Scholastic Store transformation.
My place in the work
As Digital Marketing Manager, I worked across the Scholastic Store, business units, technology partners, developers, and marketing channels. The role combined revenue accountability with the practical work of modernizing a large, established digital commerce experience.
The challenge
The digital store needed to serve a changing customer experience while multiple business units, technology teams, and marketing channels moved toward one more coherent platform. Mobile expectations were rising, but the customer journey and internal workflow were still fragmented.
The work
What the system
needed to do.
- 01
Led integrated e-commerce campaigns across paid search, organic search, email, social, content, and onsite merchandising.
- 02
Acted as a primary liaison between business units, technology teams, outside partners, development, and quality assurance.
- 03
Helped drive the Scholastic Store rebrand and the consolidation of digital business priorities into a more coherent customer experience.
- 04
Supported the move to responsive design and prioritized website improvements for customers using mobile and desktop devices.
- 05
Used competitive analysis, A/B testing, defect review, and performance data to guide an ongoing optimization backlog.
The system
Built to keep
working.
Commerce, content, media, and UX were managed as one customer journey rather than isolated channels.
